Stupid Mac Mini-DVI to DVI connector

I bought a mini-dvi to DVI connector from Apple so that I could hook my MacBook up to my Cinema Display. The problem is that it's going through a DVI KVM switch before it gets there and the DVI cable that came with the KVM has 4 extra pins by the long slot there on the right. Notice the stupid Apple connector doesn't have those!
